| PWE3 (Pseudo Wire Emulation Edge-to-Edge) is a mechanism that emulates the essential attributes of a telecommunications service over a PSN. It establishes the logic connections througt pseudo wire between edge devices that can emulate Frame Relay, ATM and Ethernet services. The required functions of PW show as below, that is establishment of the pw, including the exchange and/or distribution of the PW identifiers used by the PSN tunnel endpoints, and encapsulation of service-specific PDUs or circuit data arriving at the PE-bound port(logical or physical), then carriage of the encapsulated data across a PSN tunnel.In some cases, it is necessary to perform other operations such as managing the signaling, timing, order, or other aspects of the service at the boundaries of the PW. The application of PWE3 will benefit the telecom operator. It wil not only provide traditional IP service, but also provide many kinds of virtual line service. The PWE3 technology may provide a unified network service platform, in which can running each kind network sevice of high repayment and also have good compatibility with the traditional equipment.This paper has carried on research and analysis to the MPLS network carrying PWE3 and PWE3 relevant contents. Put forward one intact scheme of realizing PWE3. Conceptual design the processes of creating and maintenance of PW, the same as the encapsulation and disencapsulation of protocol packages. At the same time, we have produced the essential construction of data and algorithms processing. Realize all kinds of packages of the emulation services on the MPLS network, such as Ethernet, ATM etc, can accurate transmission get to the destination.It is too gentle to analyze in th transmission course to offer, has guaranteed the security of customer's packages. Meanwhile, whle breaking down in chain of the network can test and resume the trouble, guarantee to avoid the situation lost in data flow. It can meet at present and future network demand. |
