This paper focuses on the design of high-speed data transmission system which based on CPCI bus. With the development of economy and the improvement of technology, we have new demands for the higher-speed and more stable data transmission system. Researches of different data processing fields have been focused on using optical fiber to implement wide area, remote, high-speed, real time data transmission. The design of high-speed data transmission system on CPCI bus is just one of these hot researches.The paper introduces a high-speed fibre-optical data transmission system, which uses FPGA to implement the hardware design, in place of separate components, and uses driver but not application to implement most data processing. It also stresses the frame figure of the system, the principle and the realization of the software & hardware design of the system.This high-speed data transmission system based on CPCI bus has been tested successfully. It works stably and can meet the needs of engineering application.
