As the modern imaging technology develops continuously, resulting in the faster image velocity and the larger data quantity.Higher requirements for data collection,trans-Mission and processing technical indexes are raised.while most existing data transmission interface hardly meet the gradually increasing transmission rate. IEEE1394 as a high-speed and equivalence serial bus, which supports real-time transmission, different transmission rate, synchronous/asynchronous transmission and point-to-point communication, has beco-me the standard for high-speed serial bus in video image transmission field.Based on characteristics of high-speed transmission of IEEE 1394, this subject has co-mplicated the design for hardware interface and software of the image acquisition circuit based on 1394 high-speed serial bus, which adopts the combination solution of MCU+ FPGA+1394 chip.Keeping to IEEE1394 asynchronous transfer agreement exactly, It sh-ows good results in data transmission and real-time display, also with qualities like flexible programming, easy-adjustable and easy-upgrade.
