As the development of IC fabrication technology, the System on Chip (SoC) has become the heart of the electron application of new generation. In the meantime, the high complexity of its configuration and its good representation in inheriting former technology has made the SoC design based on Intelecture Protocal (IP) become the main deriction of the IC technology.Based on the analysis of worldwide related research work and deep understanding of the existing work, and according to the nature of the On-chip System, this paper focuses on designing a SoC using the core ARCA3, which is designed by Chinese. In this SoC, there are two audio modules included I2S Controller which faces the portable products and the AC97 Controller which faces high quality sound like PC. There also is a vedio process module LCD Controller which is widely used in vedio processing. In another word, this paper build a SoC that has both audio and vedio process function.The key module of I2S Controller is the FSM which control the whole I2S. This I2S Controller can support 32bit,24bit,16bit and 8bit width data, and it also support 8kHz-96kHz sample rate. Besides, the BIT_CLK and SYNC can be dynamiclly configured.The AC97 Controller is based on the structure of the Wishibone AC97 Controller on the opencores. After modifying some of its internal modules, this paper designs an AMBA-APB interface, which can support the APB bus and be compatible with the ARCA3_SoC system.Then, afeter analysing the structure of the mainstream LCD Controller, we design a LCD Controller based on IP reusable. This LCD Controller can support 32bpp,24bpp,16bpp,8bpp and 8 grayscale mode. And we also design both AHB Master and AHB Slave Interface which can make this LCD Controller be used as both Master and Slave in the ARCA3_SoC system.After the simulating of the three IPs individually, we integrate them to the ARCA3_SoC and simulate them together. We also emulate this I2S core in FPGA. The results indicate that all the three IPs can work in the ARCA3_SoC accurately.
