Design And Implementation Of Digital Tv Set-top Boxes And High-speed Data Transmission System

With the popularization of digital TV set-top-box, the demand for TV program recording is increasing rapidly. This thesis introduces the design and implementation of the high speed TV program recording system.The core device of the system is Philips ISP1581 chip. It can be connected to PC through USB port and SPI interface. The design of the TS stream recording and playing-back system TS_REC will be introduced in details, including development of architecture, hardware, firmware, driver, software and application. The performance of the system will be analyzed in comparison with the similar devices made in foreign countries. The goal and further research and development plan of the system will also be presented.
