As the fast development of the digital technology in the digital products, It is so important and urgent to add some new functions just like Digital Video Broadcast on DVD series products because now the DVD technology is so mature and the DVD products do not have any good chance to the new market. So now the key problem is to use the DVD and DVB technology to design a kind of new combo product. In the paper we use the MPEG2 technology and theory of DVD and DVB to analyze and design the combo system. The combo system includes the share of Power/Mpeg2 decoder/MCU/Flash& SDRAM/Clock circuit/Audio& Video output and input/System control and status display. After our analyzing, discussing, studying and designing them deeply at last we finished the design of the combo system successfully, realized the combining use of the DVD and DVB technology with the good performance and price at the same time.
