With the popularity of information system and maturity of network technology, more and more key data were stored in the computer system。 In case, the losing of these key data will bring us huge loss. At the same time, the system service and data usability which the enterprises demand of has been raised more and more. Even if the system break of short time will bring on the operation stop and economy loss, so the disaster recovery of data shows its especial importance. In addition, to avoid disaster and make the act of response in time, there must be a dependable monitor system which can monitor the information systems synthetically.Combined with the fact demands of enterprises nowadays, this paper has deeply researched on the technologies of disaster recovery and monitor, designed and implemented a disaster recovery and monitor system. The client of system adopts the application based on java in order to have a better transplantable; The host server and spare server adopt c program of unix for higher execute efficiency and shorter response time; The client and server communicate through socket. The primary functions of disaster recovery and monitor system are the real time monitor of operating system and database, it will alarm and notify the administrator to make some reactions when there are errors happened in the operation. By the analyses of these errors and abnormities, the SQL sentences that are abnormal or existing capability problems will be obtained by SQL Trace and Tkprof, and will help the administrator to find out the reasons of error and abnormity. System uses real time-recover the pigeonhole log of database to implement data synchronization of the host server database. When the database was ruined badly, the disaster recovery function will backup the data to make sure the continuity of the operation.
