With the development of information technology and e-commerce, the high reliability and high availability of information system are becoming the focus in recent years. Damage or loss of data, disruption of business services will cause great losses to enterprises. How to maintain data integrity and operations continuous? Disaster Recovery System is the key to stability and data security to the information system.Guangdong Province Examination Centre and Computer Engineering Research and Development Center in Guangdong University of Technology jointly developed a project, On-line Registering System for NMT of Guangdong Province. Because the system for data security and business continuity is in high demand, building a Remote Disaster Recovery System for it is needed. The core idea of Disaster Recovery System is to use geographic separation to increase the defensive capability of system and data, through establishing and maintening a remote backup system.The paper first introduces the On-line Registering System for NMT of Guangdong Province in detail, analyzes the existing system in the area of security deficiencies. Secondly, through introducing Remote Disaster Recovery System, the demand of Remote Disaster Recovery system for the On-line Registering System is proposed. Then, through in-depth analysis of current Disaster Recovery method, a multi-layer Disaster Recovery project is designed, whose different ways, structure and function module are analyzed and studied. Finally, through synchronous functions and mechanisms research, data synchronization subsystem is design, the core functions of data synchronization is partly implemented, and the implementation processes of initial synchronization, log transmission management,error handling and optimizing process are described. Disaster Recovery System is established on Oracle Data Guard technology, and it can withstand all kinds of disasters, share in the production system pressure and increased equipment utilization, also as a test center and the expansion of production systems which provides a great deal of flexibility. The research and implementation work in this paper provided a new thought and plan for relevant research.
