Nowadays we are in the Age of Electronics and Information. One ofthe first import things for enterprises is to raise qualities of services.Building a disaster recovery system is an effective measure. Lots ofcompanies are thinking about how to build a disaster recovery system. This article discusses the key technologies (Virtual MachineTechnolog and Data Synchronization and Duplication) in the building ofdisaster recovery system. First, the article analyzes and discusses the maintechnologies by which can increase the rate of resources and systemextensibility. Second, the article compare several kinds of realization ofdata synchronization and duplication and what surroundings to apply to.Third, the article focus on how to realize data synchronization andduplication between two nodes. In most cases, datas which are planed to be transferred and copied tothe other node are divided into three types: operation system datas, database datas, business datas. For operation system datas, some tools ofthe virtual machine software can finish the synchronization andduplication; for database datas,it can done by database professionalsoftwares because of their different organization; for business datas, someopen source softwares may help us for example rsync. Different ways torealize the data synchronization and duplication with data type improvessystem flexibility and scalability as well as satisfies requirements by system growing.Take the building of BOSS(Business&Operating Support System)in Orental Cable and Network Company as an example, the articleresearchs and analyzes how to use the new technologies effiently in thedisaster recovery system.
