Chinese Media Aids Reported

The rapid wide-spreading of AIDS is threatening every family and individual, having become a serious problem afflicting our society .Since AIDS coming into china in 1985, our media has paid considerable attention to it.The study does some researches into the case-analyzing and reports concerning AIDS, summarizing 20 years news reports ,which are divided into different kinds ,according to different periods, such as romantic demonization, curiosity-hunting and the present trend characterized by objectivity, justice and humanism. The third chapter of the study highly praises the contribution to communicating the anti-AIDS-knowledge by the news reports of media, and points out the weakness still existing in these reports .The forth chapter is core of the whole study, which proposes some instructive and feasible approach to increasing the level of Chinese AIDS reports.The study summarizes the strengths and weaknesses in these AIDS news reports through case-analyzing, and talked about the necessity and possibility of choosing some approaches to enhancing AIDS report from multi-perspective of journalism, communication and sociology.
