As a result of development of modern industry, more and more complicated production lines appeared in our plants, the traditional methods of management and statistics can not meet the requirements of modern management. And following the IT revolution, more and more computer software systems appeared in plants, take the place of human to manage and control those complicated production lines.Material tracking systems are just one of kinds of management software that mentioned above. Ordinarily, we establish a material tracking system in such a way that: buy a material tracking system constructor platform, and then establish the system base on it.But if we establish a system like this, our systems may have some problem, for example performance problem..NET is the new generation platform, which introduced by Microsoft, it is more powerful, but there are less successful enterprise applications based on it.So in this thesis, we about to explore the possibility of establishing the material tracking system base on .NET platform. The main points are as follow:1. The technical background of 340 project.2. Analysis of new feature of the .NET platform, and how to use these features to establish enterprise applications.3. Research of designing and implementation of material tracking system for a specific production area.4. Improve the former communication module, introduce a new method to design it, and finally, implement it base on that method successfully.The system that designed and implemented in the thesis has been successfully run on CSST 340 production line. And technical details discussed in this thesis can be the reference when designing or implementing a material tracking system.
