With scientific and technological progress and economic globalization, the self-servicefaces significant challenge and competition, which is being aggravated day by day. Under thisbackground, the self-service system has already become one of the magic weapons for victoryin the market full of fierce challenge and competition among large telecommunicationcorporations. The research of this paper concentrates on the design and implementation ofSelf-service system, which is based on the three-layer C/S structure.Firstly, based on the introduction of self-service system used in telecommunications athome and abroad presently, the paper analyses the demand of function and technology, mainlyelaborates the traits of C/S, UML is also used to set up the visual model of the whole structureof this system.Secondly, taking the goal and the principle of design as the foundation, the wholestructure and logic structure are studied. According to logic design of the whole system, theself-service system has been divided into the self-service terminal, the self-service server, themonitor system, the interface of BOSS system (Business Support System of Operator) andlocal database, and the core is the self-service server. The paper mostly expatiates on theconcurrency and synchronization of the server. The share lock of MFC was used for thesynchronization of thread to avoid the disaster in concurrency, and the implementation ofself-service has been described by the multithreading. Meanwhile according to the need ofapplication, the paper has designed and carried out the local database and the monitor system. Finally, the self-service system has obtained good effect, but deficiency of system wasfound. The paper brings out the thought of improvement. When telecommunication hasalready practically applied the system, the system has effectively alleviated their servicepressure, and improved the service quality. The success of the self-service business forecaststhat the self-service will be the main forces in telecommunication in the future.
