In recent years, especially after the 9.11 events, people's safe awareness is improved unprecedentedly. The social demand for the safeguarding products is more vigorous. Because the monitoring system, which captures the video image of targets, has direct-viewing, good resolution and many advantages for computer processing, it is used in many fields, such as science research, police detection, safe protection and so on. Therefore, the realization of the long-distance, high-resolution and shady infrared system is very important and has great economy benefits. In the thesis, a long-distance, high-resolution and shady active infrared monitoring device is developed and realized. The main contents of the thesis include the system design scheme, the hardware realization, the software realization and the algorithm simulation. First, the system is divided into hardware part and software part, and the two parts are discussed in the thesis respectively. Finally, the parameters of the system are verified by integrating the two parts.In the system design scheme, the system principle, the communication interface, the system hardware scheme, the key system technology, the main index, the system traits and functions are all described.In the hardware design aspect, a set of active infrared monitoring is designed , which includes the infrared lamp, the lens, vidicon, digital image collection and processing, the signal transmission and control, revolver, shield, decode device, the design of the synthesis controlling box and the model selecting . Firstly, the system is divided into many modules according to different point of view; secondly, to the hardware equipment - vidicon, lenses, revolver, shield and decode device, their principle of work has been explained ; thirdly, according to image identification experience and other indexes of the system, the focus of the lenses and relative aperture are calculated, and the type of the camera is confirmed, at the same time, the energy of infrared lamp is also computed in the thesis; at the same time, synthesis control box is devised.
