This paper presents the characteristics of HTSC (high temperature superconductor) materials, design and manufacture of a HTSC filter and a Low noise amplifier, which works at low temperature, and the basic theory of a cooling system. A high performance receiver with high sensitivity and good antijaming ability has been manufactured. The receiver works at UHF frequence with 5.1MHz bandwidth, noise figure lower than 0.5dB, gain more than 20dB, and rejection more than 60dB outside of the bands. The receiver consists of the HTSC filter, Low noise amplifier working at low temperature (77K) and the cooler. This paper has designed and manufactured a HTSC filter working at UHF frequence, in the use of a full-wave solver. In order to meet the demand for smaller capacity and high rejection in upper-sidebands, the SIR (Step impedance resonator) structure has been used as the construction of the resonator in the filter. With the help of the ADS (Advanced design system), this paper has designed and manufactured a LNA (Low noise amplifier) working at low temperature. Because of the feedback used in the circuit, the noise figure has become a little worse comparing with the circuit without feedback, but stable working at low temperature has been achieved. For the purpose of practicality, STIRING cooler that works efficiently with little power consumption, has been used in this paper.
