This paper presents the characteristics of HTSC (high temperature super-conductivity ) materials, design and manufacture of a HTSC filter and introduce the basic theory of a cooling system. A high performance receiver has been manufactured with high sensitivity and good anti-jamming ability, in the end. The receiver is composed of the HTS filter,Low noise amplifier working in low temperature and the cooler. This paper has designed and manufactured a HTS filter working in 1.8GHz with the use of a full-wave solver called IE3D. In order to cope with the demand for smaller capacity and high rejection in upper-sidebands, the SIR (Step impedance resonator) structure has been used as the construction of the resonator in the filter. Some problems have been found among the experimentation. The YBCO film etching technologies have great influence in the performance of the HTS filter. Then some part of this paper is based on the laser-chemical etching technology and tends to research the laser-chemical effects of YBCO film.On account of the HTS filter must working in liquid nitrogen temperature, the device should be put into the liquid nitrogen, in traditional way. But in the use of a receiver, this method is not practical. A STIRING cooler has been used in this paper, for the purpose of practicality. The HTSC filter and the LNA are attached to the cold panel of the cooler, which is in a Dewar type container.
