Lonworks Fieldbus Control Design And Implementation Of The Configuration Software Platform

LonWorks fieldbus has developed a very matured distributed networked control technology with more and more applications in various automatic systems. At the same time, there have been some programming problems existing in its practice. Firstly if the technician can not master Neuron C programming language LonWorks fieldbus control must not be realized. Yet it is a quite difficult requirement for the technician. Secondly, the debug efficiency is so low as to be quite discommodious in the locale. So this paper has designed and realized a VCC(visual configuration control) platform based on LonWorks fieldbus to resolve the mentioned problems.VCC is a visual, graphic and configuration platform developed in the Visual Basic 6.0 environment. It mainly provides a useful platform tool through which the technician only use mouse to construct complex control strategy and control the LON node to run via communication function. So LonWorks technician not only need not master the Neuron C language but also visually debug a LonWorks control system on line.The paper makes COM (Component Object Module ) theory as the main design idea of the VCC platform and uses ActiveX control technology to pack the usual control algorithm into visual control. And it adopts the visual programming idea to realize the visual user interface design and configuration and graphic edit functions with the Multiple Document Interface, rolling window and dynamic control management technologies. That means the technician can complete the creation of control function and debug on line with some simple mouse operations such as drag, double-click and lining. The most important of the paper is to colligate the Dynamic Data Exchange technology, LonTalk protocol technology and Neuron C programming technology to design the communication protocol regulations, real time download the configuration drawing into LON node and control it to run.It has proved that VCC is a visual configuration control platform based on LonWorks fieldbus with a friendly interface and good real-time control function.
