Portal Platform, Content Management Technology

With the developing of computer science and network, many enterprises enhance the business management and service level through informatization. Due to a quite weak construction and application level in informatization, most of them establish the information system individually. As a result, the enterprises build different systems into many "islands of information".The thesis analyzes the issues which appear in the process of present enterprise' informatization and studies the situation of the enterprise information Portal and the content management technology. It also proposes the blocks in front of the Minor Enterprise Oriented Portal(MEOP) which is suitable for small and medium enterprises. Then, it makes a design for Extensible Portal Content Management Framework (EPCMF) based on the platform and solves the problem of enterprises' information resource management. After a thoroughly study of the framework EPCMF, a detail design and implement the subsystem of storage management, content extraction and content publication is made by combing the technology of XML and metadata.The design of system's framework covers the main function of content management. It can be expanded easily, and will satisfy the need of enterprises by providing services for other application of portal platform.
