The Research And Implementation Of A Ruby On Rails Based Content Management System For Small To Medium-sized Enterprise Portal

With the development of internet and information technology,the types and the amount of information growing every day at an alarming rate.Many web applications can not follow the pace of the increasing information and changing business model,a lot of time,manpower and material resources has to be spent on the information updating and maintenance work.Content Management System is an integrated application of advanced technologies,it can provide strong support for web applications building process and can be an effective solution in the traditional web application development.Our research based on the practical needs of small to medium-sized enterprises,focus on a Ruby on Rails based Content Management System which is used for small to medium-sized enterprise portal site development.The research start from the analysis of the Content Management System framework structure and operating mechanism,considering stability,concurrency,security,scalability, ease of use and other factors,we put forward a new framework design of Content Management Systems.Then we analyse the specific needs of the portal application for small to medium-sized enterprises,implement a Ruby on Rails based Content Management System which has a complete separated structure of the templates and contents.Finally,by the appliance of Content Management System,the redundant work in the development has been reduced and the productivity of software improved.
