Wcdma Radio Network Design And Optimization Studies

With the development of WCDMA, evaluation of mobile terminal, and drive of subscribers' need, the opportune moment for large-scale application of WCDMA network had reach maturity. Operators of our country have done the site test of trial network of WCDMA. The exploration of how to do the network design and optimization to realize the resource share of 3G and 2G effectively, and choosing appropriate network optimization methods and tools to raise the utilization of system resources, have very important meaning to the construction of whole wireless communication system and the evolution of 3G services.This paper firstly represents the characteristics of wireless channel theoretically, and introduces typical wireless propagation models from experience models and physical models. Then the paper analyzes the basic principles the performance of key technologies in physical layer of WCDMA (Such as smart antenna, software radio, switch technology, power control, channel encode, multi-user detection, space-time code, high-speed data transmission, etc), and forecasts the future development and applications. After that, from the objective of network optimization, key specifications, comparison of concrete network optimization technologies and test, optimization and analysis of future network, revision methods of traditional wireless propagation model in network optimization, etc, the paper parses the principles and methods used in network design and optimization of WCDMA.Based on the above research, in combination with the practice of WCDMA trial network, this paper gives the detail proposal of network design and optimization of WCDMA, and does the site test through choosing the traffic model and wireless propagation model, and using the appropriate network design and optimization tools. This paper also picks up and analyzes large amount of test data.The test result shows, the proposal of network design and optimization given in this paper resolves many concrete problems in WCDMA network design and optimization, such as how to improve network performance, ensure multiple services access, eliminate dirty of pilot frequency, do the network compatible test, and so on, which has definite guide meaning for construction of WCDMA network rapidly and at low-cost.
