As the development of object-oriented technology, object-orient databases are being widely used in more and more application fields. Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Zhejiang University has designed and developed an Object-Oriented Database Management System(OODB),ONet ,which is used for the space data storage of GIS and data persistent of IDSS. It has got a primary success.Growing application scale makes higher demands for ONet.We has begun to try to modularize ONet in order to offer an object component programming entironment for the users to solve the problem of data schema evolvement. This dissertation investigates the framework of ONet fuctions and architecture, analysises the confusion defect of former modularization work.Based on inheriting the idea of object component,we nail down the purpose and principle of component decoupling, offers a new blue print for modularization reconstructing.With the technology of programming on interfaces,the new idea has been completely implemented.After finishing the modularization reconstructing work, all the components are published as DLL.ONet offers a real object component programming entironment for the users for the first time.The idea of object component has begun to be an application strategy instead of theory.Compared to the former, the new system architecture turns to be more clear and easily be updated and maintenanced.It also reachs the target of maxism code reusing for further more laugauages banding on ONet.
