The development of the web-based interactive assistant learning system of Modern Long-distant Open Education is the main focus of researches on education development in our country. Supporting by the key scientific research project in Taizhou city of Zhejiang province, this thesis, theoretically discusses software process and development framework of the web-based interactive assistant learning system based on the unified process theory of software engineering, as well as, introduces the practice on the development of the web-based interactive assistant learning system.According to the idea of RUP, the software processes of the web-based interactive assistant learning system were implemented. The thesis discussed the technology problems of division of workflow, activity and worker assignation in the workflow, artifacts and relationship between artifacts in the workflow, purposes and tasks of workflow, and the phase purposes and iterative process.The development framework of the web-based interactive assistant learning system was introduced. It can provide the system view for the developers. The business framework is supported by the modern education theory; and the technology framework is based on Windows DNA. They separately are relatived to the functional requirement and non-functional requirement of business system, which have important value for the later activites of software development process.In the practice of system development, a series of artifacts of process-model were obtained from requirements to analysis & design, to implementation and deployment, which includes the system use case model illustrated by the Use Case Layer Diagram and the Use Case Specifications, the system design model illustrated by Class Diagram, Object Diagram, Package Diagram, Interactive Diagram, State Diagram and Activity Diagram, and the system physical model diagrammatize with Component Diagram and Deployment Diagram, and so on. Using Rose tools, those artifacts of process-model have been visually built, which can be repeated reference for the development of the similar systems. The producing processes of those artifacts were discussed in detailed.The continuous transform of the model artifacts provides practical services forthe system coding. As the final software artifact, the web-based interactive assistant learning system has been successfully applied in the practice of the web-based learning system in Yuhuan College of Zhejiang Radio & Television University, and it has gotten a good practical effects.The research of the web-based interactive assistant learning system is a continual development process. The future works were presented in the conclusions of this this thesis.
