Along with the fall of the age of knowledge economy, the high-tech enterprises begin to play a more and more important role in the national economy. The rapid growth of economy inevitably leads to the fierce competition between corporations, which are ultimately dependent upon the competition of talents. The evaluation of performance is significant not only for the employee's salary, promotion, rewards and punishment, but also for the power of enterprises to recruit, retain and motivate talents of technology. Therefore, it will ultimately decide the competing power of enterprises and consequently their rises and falls. The evaluation of performance among high-tech corporations in China is now understood as nothing but a once-for-all managerial activity, focusing more on the evaluation of consequences after the occurrence of each event and with more emphasis on the superintending and controlling function of the evaluation system rather than its motivating and encouraging aspects.The thesis designs and carries out a system for performance evaluation based on WEB technology, which uses rational unite process (RUP) as the method of software development and unite modeling language as the language for analysis, design and description. Before developing the system, a lot of work for requirement is done so as to analyze and optimize the available process and system. The system basically meets the requirement of evaluation performance and promotes the establishment of a more scientific and democratic performance evaluation system and a mechanism for rewards and punishment. In addition, it focuses on tracing the statistics of the employee's performance so as to provide possible references for the positioning and promoting of employees in the future.As a key member of the project, the author of the present thesis participated in its each steps, such as project establishment, feasibility analysis, planning, system design and analysis, system coding, testing and deploying. Through analyzing and comparing the main schemes, the systemic structure and supporting technology is finally confirmed, i.e., the n-layer structure based on B/S mode and component development technology. In light of the actual requirement of customers, the operating process of evaluation business is refined for preparing the design of systemic database. Finally, the thesis introduces the general design framework as well as the designing steps of foreground and background databases, the compartmentalization of systemic modules, and the function of each module.
