Infectious Routing Protocols In The Interplanetary Network Application And Performance Analysis

Interplanetary Internet is a new type of communication network to provide efficient communication across interplanetary distances, it can grow to support Internet-like services where human is widely distributed across the Solar System.As a intermittent connectivity, long propagation delay, high error rates, self-organized wireless mobile networking, routing protocols are its important parts and focus of investigation. The aim of this article is analyze the performance of epidemic routing protocol operated in hierarchical IPN with center node using simulation OPNET software.There are six chapters in this article. Chapter 1, introduces the concept of IPN, also properties, character, development and aim of this article is illuminated. Chapter 2, proposed routing demand in IPN on the basis of routing technology are summarized. Combine with the intermittent connectivity character of IPN, described some kinds of routing protocols could action in intermittent connectivity networking.Chapter 3 accounted for the reason for use epidemic routing in IPN from theory and introduced the improve of this protocols, and a simple clustering algorithm is proposed, combine with the HD clustering algorithm, build a construct of hierarchical IPN with center nodes, then epidemic routing protocol operated in hierarchical IPN with center node.Chapter 4 are the simulation of epidemic routing protocols. Introduced the process of modeling, realization in detail use OPNET networking simulation software, and analyzed the simulation results.As the last part of this article, we draw our conclusion.
