This is a dissertation on observing the Press Conference through a visual angle of communication. The author pushes the Press Conference into the research on a concept of Press Publicity and Persuasion. Based on the previous scholars' study, the author has tried to probe into how promulgators should publicize their opinions by spreading information when they organize a Press Conference. In the first chapter, the author analyzes the composition, participators and institution adoption of the Press Conference. Then the dissertation introduces the pattern of Press Publicity and Persuasion and explores its characters. After that, the author advances an original model, the Hypothesis of Press Conference in mass communication and interpersonal communication. The content emphasizes on discussing how promulgators should publicize their opinions and persuade audiences by spreading information in a Press Conference. The author introduces the theory of Asymmetric Information and some psychological theories for reference to illustrate the speciality of Press Conference as well as when promulgators should publicize their opinions and how they should control their utterance during Press Conference. The author uses case studies to illustrate the above-mentioned content, giving the whole dissertation originality that observing the Press Conference in a new view angle of research.
