Based On County-level Administrative Region In GIS Realm Of Management Information Systems Design And Implementation

In recent years GIS(Geographical Information system) is developing rapidly on theory and applications. It has become a research domain of multiple-subject crossing and multiple-direction discussing. Administrative boundaries are directly related to spatial position, and GIS has more advantages on the kinds of information processing and visualization. Through the use of GIS in boundarie management, it is helpful of improving efficiency of administrative boundaries surveying and boundaries management ,also it will bring forth important and realistic meaning.This paper introduces the development status, trends, and designing models of GIS from technology characteristic. According to the procedure of administrative boundaries management, system analysis and function modules are provided. Combining with data processing and spatial data characteristic, the paper studies spatial data concept, its model and its quality controlling, etc. And the paper introduces the structure and function of Supermap Objects on the basis of component-base development. It analyzes the development of boundary information system detailedly and carries out a system example by Supermap Objects .This paper consists of four parts. The first part introduces the development and the general structure of GIS, and the background and meaning of Administrative boundaries is given. The second part introduces the requirement and designing of system development. It introduces detailedly the general aspect of Supermap Objects, system designing scheme and function modules are provided.The third part introduces the spatial data of GIS, including data collection , data structure , data model and quality controlling. The forth part introduces the system function modules of the administrative boundary of GIS and its realization.
