The Research And Implementation Of Police Geographic Information System

With in-depth use of the variety of geographic information system-related technologies, geographic information systems have affected every walk of life. In Police side Geographic Information System also has great applications, many areas have put the police geographic information systems into the construction project. Police Geographic Information System, which uses the technology of spatial information, based on electronic map, rely on police broadband network and make information sharing and utilization as the goal, achieves the visual query and analysis of the police basic information of spatial electronic map. It improve the capability of command decision-making, rapid response and terrorism. It provides effective management method for the security administration, police deployment, patrolling surveillance and security guards.In this paper, the Police Geographic Information System is an important part of the large-scale security system which is the research project of the Ministry of Public Security, and its function is independent but with interaction with other modules. The system is developed for police business based on SuperMap iServer of GIS platform. It analyze and implement the core function module of the Police Geographic Information System, Including basic map operations, basic information management, equipment information management, information retrieval, spatial query, map painting and statistical analysis. In practical projects, it also includes real-time monitoring, alarm linkage, the implementation of siege, GPS scheduling and other extension. Author first introduces and analyzes the key technologies, such as SuperMap iServer platform and SuperMap spatial database. Then author analyzes and designs map data, the system platform architecture, and system processes, and for each sub-function modules completes the design and implementation. Finally author does some test work for the system, and the system functional and performance all meet the demand.The system in the paper has been put into use by upgrading and improving. Currently some areas of China has promote and use the Police Geographic Information System to enhance the maintenance of the social order and the detection of criminal cases, and it received good results. So the Police Geographic Information System has very good commercial value of and market prospects.
