Study Of Innovation Theory Of The Modern Library Information Services

Modern libraries are in the transition between traditional libraries and digital libraries. In new times, libraries' service conditions, the types of information and users were all changed .It makes information service face strong challenges. By analyzing the condition of information service development, the thesis thinks the increasing of user' request is the inner driving force for the information service innovation and the fierce information service market competition is the outer driving force. Finally, the basic impetus of the information service innovation is the containable development of libraries. The innovation of information service is not a blind innovation and it should follow with some principles such as objectivity, continuity and coordination, practicability, peculiarity and benefit principle. In addition, the relationship between innovation and revolution, the relationship between librarian and users, the relationship between technology and humanity, the copyright, the original creativity and the steps for innovation should be paid attention during the process of its updating.The innovation of information service has strong foundations. The old five principles of Rang and the new five principles of Gorman bring theoretical sources for it. Both point out not only the method of innovation but also the aim and principle. Afterward, based on the train of innovation theory used in libraries, this thesis states the innovation theory and tactics such as the introduction of the concept of information cycle to the construction and management of library in order to reap the max benefit at the lowest whole cost, the usage of the concept of knowledge management of enterprise to guide its innovation, the usage of strategy of promotion of products to make a good promotion of information service and provide a more unique and distinctive service. The innovation of information service is a systematic project. It is important for the countries' innovation system. It is made up of service concept innovation, service contents and patterns innovation, technology innovation, human innovation, management innovation and so on. This thesis would to build up a innovation system from service concept, service methods, service contents and management based on the innovation theory.
