With the development of the computer and information technology, more and more intelligent apparatuses and and household information appliances are appearing in our life. Under the help of computer network and communication technology, many kinds of apparatuses and household appliances are connected to the Internet. By this way, we gain the personal, comfortable, convenient and high efficient services.This thesis brings forward a project that implementing μC/OS-Ⅱ and TCP/IP protocls on MSP430F149, constructs an embedded communicating platform.An embedded system is a special purpose computer system. It is part of a larger system or machine. Typically, an embedded system is housed on a single microprocessor board with the programs stored in ROM. Some embedded systems include an operating system. Embedded system is the integration of advanced computing, electronical and other industries technologies. Generally it is suitable for special applications and special users. The embedded system is widely used in the communication equipments, apparatuses, aerospace, and so on.μC/OS-Ⅱ is a high performance, deterministic and full-preemptive real-time kernel. It is written in high portable ANSI C and can be embedded in commercial products. It has been ported to many kinds of microprocessors.MSP430F149 is one kind product of TI incorporated with high cost performance. Its ultralow-power architecture consumption extends battery life. Its high-performance analog is ideal for precision measurement. And its flexible clock system is designed specifically for battery-powered applications.Internet has deeply affected our life and work. It shortens the distance between us and makes the communication easier. TCP/IP protocol suite is widely used in Internet. It is a universal and stable network system. TCP/IP provides abundant protocols, such as ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, IP, and so on.To realize TCP/IP demands much ram and code space, but MSP430F149 can't meet this demand. In this thesis, TCP/IP mainly completes the data collection and data transfer, leaving alone network management, mail transfer, etc. So as porting TCP/IP to MSP430F149, only some protocols are realized: ARP, IP, ICMP, TCP. Further more, in order to reduce the usage of RAM and FLASH, they are simplified.This thesis has realized the basic applications. And it has been applied to meter-reading system of calorimeter. Other apparatuses and household appliances can also adopt this platform to realize intelligent management.
