With the development of computer and communication technology, thetelemedicine technology develops very rapidly. Telemedicine monitoring as oneof the most important applications of telemedicine monitoring has been focusedby the researchers. Because of improvement of living standards and change oflifestyle, medical problems of the old people and chronic persons have beenbecoming more focused by the society. It is effective to solve the problems thatthe new technologies such as the embedded technology are applied to thetelemedicine system. Further research and application of telemedicine techniquewill promote the medical career in China.The paper deals with the monitoring system based on embeded technique indetails. The system is made up of the module of collecting and displayingphysiological data, the receiver module based on embedded system andtelemedicine monitoring center. The module of collecting and displayingphysiological data adopts low-power MSP430. The receiver module based onembedded system adopts S3C2440of ARM processor. The module of collectingand displaying data can collect the patient’s physiological data which includeelectrocardiogram, blood oxygen saturation and pulse. The collected data istransmitted to receiver module based on embedded system through nRF2401ofwireless communication module, and the messages are transmitted to thetelemedicine monitoring center on Internet. The data of patient could be seen inthe telemedicine monitoring center and telemedicine monitoring center couldmake diagnosis early. The paper introduces hardware circuit design of themodule of collecting and displaying data and the receiver module based onembedded system in details and design of the software program. It proves that the system has good stability and security in the experiments. It could provide a wayto solve the problem of old people and chronic patients. It will promote themedical career in China.
