The development of modern information technique at very fast speed has aroused the conversion from traditional logistics to modern logistics. The universality of Internet has also moved forward the development of logistics more enormously. Less-than-truck-load transport, as an important business form of the Third-Party logistics, has to adapt to the trend of modern logistics. In order to enhance the level of service for customers and reduce logistics cost, Less-than-truck-load transport enterprises must realize logistics management and logistics operation in information system.The project which was put forward in this paper has made up for the ignorance of building information system in the middle and small scaled TPL enterprises during the construction of logistics information system. It has some academic value which is to be referenced. It also has some application value. Based on the operational course of less-than-truck-load transport, we have made the management and control model of the less-than-truck-load transport. Then we managed to improve and reconstruct the business process wholly. All these are valuable in the standardization and normalization of the less-than-truck-load transport process. The software architecture we have constructed can also be used to direct the layout and design for a new less-than-truck-load transport information system.On foundation of investigating business process of Shangdong jiayi logistics enterprise in detail, we analyzed the problems in its management of less-than-truck-load transport. Then we constructed the management and control model of less-than-truck-load transport made mainly by operation and finance. We managed to finish business process reengineering through improvement finally. On the base of model, we built five levels software architecture which included physical floor, basal floor, executive floor, application floor and instance floor. We realized some key technologies such as constructing business departments.According to the software architecture, we designed a function tree for application system and finished Less-than-truck-load transport information system. The course of designing function molds and their interfaces was explained in detail. The design of database was also mentioned briefly in thispaper.The Less-than-truck-load transport information system which was realized in this paper not only satisfied the need of current industry of Less-than-truck-load transport, but also had some advantages of expansion. It can be used to combine with other enterprises in operation. So it is valuable in application.
