Finite element analysis (FEA) is mostly used method in computer aided engineering (CAE) nowadays, and it has great directive significance to realize numeric analysis and simulation of temperature field whitin tire in curing by finite element analysis for optimizing design and guarantee quality of tire production. The curing process is the last step in tire production and it is important for quality of tire. If the change of temperature field within the tire is obtained in the whole course, people can adjust the production technology correctly so as to guarantee product quality. Domestic enterprises often measure the temperature within the tire through the thermoelectric sensors, or adopt an inefficient method by drawing and triangulating by hand on the blueprmt.The former can get only temperature of finite points and is powerless for the distribution of whole temperature field.The latter' work period is long and people have to do the inefficient repetitive work when trial-produce new products. Based on precedent researches and practice, this paper applied Finite element analysis and computer simulating technology to tire curing procedure and integrated modeling of geometry , automatic triangulation, temperature field computing, the visualization of computing result in a finite element analytical system and realizing Finite element analysis of temperature field whithin tire in curing on computer, therefore, changed the past working way. The following is done in this paper: (1) Setting up the proper FEA model based on theoretical research for temperature field whithin tire in vulcanizing; (2) Realizing an effctive automatic triangulation algorithm; (3) Realizing an effective visualization algorithm; (4) Developing an vivid and friendly visual user interface, which makes the finite element analysis to temperature field more easy and flexible; (5)Computing to special type of products to ensure the reliability of system. Final experimental result indicate temperature field simulating system can truely reflects change of temperature within tire in vulcanizing, and it is has actual meanings for tire enterprises to improve the production efficiency.
