Visualization in scientific computing is widely applied in the fields of scientific research and engineering technology and so on. It is a technology with broad prospects for development. It makes scientific computing process and calculation result data into geometry and image information displayed on the screen and interactive process, to become a powerful tool for discovery and understanding of various phenomena in the process of scientific computing.This article focus on three-dimensional data visualization techniques and algorithms research and application which based on Research status and development trend in scientific computing visualization techniques on the basis of comprehensive research and analysis. The focus is the analysis of the scalar field, vector field and tensor field of data visualization techniques, we realize visualization system and it is successfully applied to the "finite element analysis system".This article first briefly described the development of visualization in scientific computing, and then analyzed UML and OpenGL visualization programming platform. Visualization system design are introduced, and made a presentation of the scalar field, vector field and tensor field visualization system design and algorithm.In the technology of scalar field visualization, t this paper first describes the design of the scalar field visualization subsystem, then two, three-dimensional scalar data contour algorithm, cloud image filling method and isosurface generation algorithm were designed, and be achieved by programming.In the technology of vector field visualization, his paper first describes the design of the vector field visualization subsystem, and then design and implement point icon and color streamlines and black and white texture algorithm, and on this basis, the color texture algorithmto make up for the shortcomings of the original LIC algorithm. In the technology of tensor field visualization, we first describes the design of the tensor field visualization subsystem, then design and implement a two-dimensional, three-dimensional ellipsoid icon and superfluid line algorithm.After practice, the visualization system makes accurate results, meeting demand of finite-element analysis. This system that is packaged has applied to "finite element analysis system" and achieved good practical results.
