This subject studies the operating efficiency of passenger trains both theoretically and practically. With the help of computer, scientific analysis and calculations are conducted to provide rapid and reasonable train scheduling for enterprises and help them obtain the optimized economical efficiency. This system is composed of three parts: subsystem of operating efficiency analysis on passenger train, subsystem of station management and subsystem of data dictionary maintenance respectively. In the first part, customers set the passenger train parameters and appoint the start, pass-by and destination stations, with which the system can conduct the operating economical efficiency analysis. Review and printout of various statistics forms are available after the analysis. The second system is responsible for management and maintenance of all stations, and capable of proofreading the recorded data to improve the reliability of the whole system. The third system is used to adjust and correct the items concerning the economical efficiency counting. The whole system is built on visual route chart with convenience operation and strong practicability. PowerBuilder 8.0 is adopted as the major tool for developing this system, providing the direct picture display by using its particular datawindow and realizing the programming calculation of minimal cost path between two points.
