With the development of mobile communication technology, more and more mobile terminal equipments will be introduced into internet. Thereby, the IPv6 workgroup IETF published the Mobile IPv6 Protocol to solve the mobile communication problems. But there are a great number of problems in mobile IPv6 protocol that need to be complemented, one of which is the problem of the handover of mobile nodes discussed in this paper When mobile node moves in the mobile IPv6 network, its IP address will ceaselessly change because of it spans different subnets. Mobile IPv6 has solved the problem of the lookup and the maintenance for communication of mobile node caused by the change of IP address of mobile node. However, it has not solved the problem of communication continuity when mobile node spans different subnets, which is the handover problem of mobile nodes in mobile IPv6.To solve the problem, corresponding schemes-FMIPv6 and HMIPv6 are presented in the drafts from IETF, unfortunately, in both of which, there are some bugs. So in this paper, the advantages and disadvantages of FMIPv6 and HMIPv6 are analyzed and compared in detail first, on the basis of which, a mobile management mechanism named F-HMIPv6-ER is presented. F-HMIPv6-ER is composed of two independent part-F-MIPv6 mobile management mechanism and HMIPv6-ER mobile management mechanism. F-HMIPv6 organically combines FMIPv6 and HMIPv6 in order to solve the problem in HMIPv6, which is about the inter-region handover problem of mobile node in one map region. Meanwhile, HMIPv6-ER adds ER in HMIPv6 in order to solve the cross-region handover problem of mobile nodes In order to illustrate the feasibility of F-HMIPv6-ER, in this paper, simulation experiments focused on F-HMIPv6-ER management mechanism are introduced. Simulation platform OMNeT++ and simulation environment IPv6Suite are illustrated simply. At last, simulation data are analyzed and the feasibility and...
