Sichuan Telecom Phs Networking Design And Implementation

PUS is the supplement and extension of the fixed telephone network and PUS is a new telecommunication service by which many telecommunication corporations adapt to drastic market competition. PHS is not only portable but also it has a cheap price in use. And PHS is a "green" manufacture which could protect the environment. And it is very small and consumes low power. PHS not only require the low income workers but can make good use of resources of fixed telephone network to raise income of the telecommunication corporations.As a access technology, PHS roaming experiment is being on in a few province. This is a breaking though milestone if some corporations would develop roaming service. PHS handler follows the common air interface standard (ARIB' s RCR STD-28). In order to meet the users' requirement, each PHS supplier took its private protocol to realize its own PHS roaming in several cities. But these private protocols can' t support each other. In this article Signaling Transportation Protocol based on MAP is adopted to resolve these problems. It is applied to realize PHS handler register authentication and calling.In this article, as a new wireless telecommunication, the special character about PHS is introduced to readers at first, and readers will have the basic idea about wireless telecommunication. Then PHS technology is introduced to readers and they will learn how the PHS works. Finally it is introduced what the PHS network of the SiChuan Telecom is now. according to UT, ZTE and Lucent came into being in SiChuan Telecom, technology scheme about PHS roaming is provided. At present, IPAS of UT is applied to ChengDu and ABa. And PHS roaming has being completed successfully. It has been established the basement to realize PHS roaming on a larger scale.
