After China entered the WTO, competition between service providers hasintensified. Network quality has become a critical element for serviceproviders. Network optimization will become an very important task in thefuture. Currently, service providers are keen to find out how networkoptimization can maximize the current network performance.The goal of network optimization is to improve and maintain networkquality. Network quality is affected by various factors. Current networkoptimization includes coverage, traffic forecast, network planning,network implementation and engineering services.This article discusses and analyzes ChengDu GSM network current issues.It presents proposals that have been implemented, resulting in networkquality improvements. It also analyzed the subscriber calling pattern andsubscriber growth pattern. Based on these data, the article providessuggestions and network planning for the next phase of engineering andnetwork expansion. Some of these suggestions are in progress.
