Network Information Platform (NIP in a word) for Hebei Mobile, a product for GSM network integrated management, has represents the highest level in network management and network construction national wide. NIP also has taken the lead in GSM network optimization, for it has fully realized creations in the area: the creation of management outline, the creation of management procedure, the creation of management measure.This article mainly introduces the "why" and the destination for NIP product, and it also addresses the relative information NIP involved: product requirements, ways of framework realization, database design, system module design and system realization, etc. Afterwards, this article will provide the NIP running status in state-of-art; the author will also display the prospects of NIP, for further development.As a comprehensive and integrated GSM network optimization platform, NIP has realized the integration for "point data", "line data" and "united data". "Point data" means customer complaints, base station faults and CQT (Call Quality Test) test data; "line data" means GSM DT (Driving Test); "united data" means the cell information collected from OMC_r. The abovementioned data exist as three independent factors, which will reflect network problems from different aspects. In usual GSM network optimization work, the three category data differentiate Customer Complain & Trouble-shooting, DT /DT Analysis and Network Monitoring/Optimization. However, NIP will integrate all this data, it will display all problems in geographical measure. With this help, optimization engineers can analysis problems during a wide vision, which will help the engineers work more quickly and more accurately. Moreover, NIP will guide the network plan, network construction and network optimization in higher sense.Analyzing the status quo of GSM network optimization, we first draft out requirements of NIP. The requirements include: system performance requirements, system data management requirements, system function requirements, system network environments requirements, system hardware requirements and system running environments requirements. By this analysis, we carry out NIP system design accordingly.The NIP can be divided into three parts in layers concept, namely data collection layer, data management layer and data application layer. This article will paint more ink on the design of system data management layer and data application layer.Following, the article describes general design by addressing design feature, physical & logical system, data collection, data application. Discussing the design & layout of business module, thearticle then state out the detailed design of all functional module, thus complete the databasedesign.This article finally draft out the process of NIP Implementation, and conclude all runninginformation. Analyzing problems existing in NIP system, the article also display the prospects ofNIP, for further development.
