Now e-enterprise is developing rapidly. As an important enterprise application, logistic is catching many companies' attention. More and more enterprise logistic systems have been developed. In general, these systems are based on B/S or C/S structure. Both of these structures have their advantage and disadvantage. Since many people want to use logistic systems on the way or offline, these two structures are no longer competent.To solve the problems mentioned above, this paper analyzes the present research status domestically and abroad, and then propose the application of smart client and offline technology to enterprise logistic in this paper. Smart client and offline technology can fulfill the needs and integrate the advantage of B/S and C/S. However, there are very few software based on smart client and offline technology currently and there is a lack of good developing framework and reusable components of smart client and offline technology. This situation brings a lot of trouble to enterprise technicians. Under this circumstance, the OAB developing framework is extended in three aspects: network connection detection, data cache control and data synchronization. It is pointed out that the fundamental library of offline application is packaged independently for enterprise technicians and manufacturers to utilize these modules to develop software in a much more convenient way.On the basis of developing fundamental library of offline application, research has been done on the service-oriented smart client architecture. It is pointed out that the service-oriented architecture is suitable for smart client offline application. By means of service-oriented access patterns, the service agent mechanism and coarse grain service based design methods, it is very easy to make the client program characteristic of offline.At last, the design and implementation of logistic system which supports offline application is presented. The implementation utilizes offline application fundamental library adequately, and follows the service-oriented design principles and specificmethods. The system is based on .NET framework. The availability of thefundamental library and the validity of the design method have been proved. They'revery useful to other enterprise logistic systems.
