Because of furious competence and fast change of market, workflow management has been brought into the enterprise management. First, the actualities of workflow management systems are presented and their shortcomings are pointed out. After two technologies, Web Service technology and currently fashionable distributed object technology, being compared, the reasons of bringing Web Service into WFMS are discussed. Then, the framework of the prototype system and the functional modules are generally introduced. After that, the particulars of the prototype system developed by author are described in detail. There include that the implementation of the workflow modeling platform, model check rules, the description language for web service flow based on BPEL4WS and the communication protocol among web services. An instance business flow running on the platform is presented as an example. Finally the prototype system is evaluated, the advantages are analyzed and the future work is simply discussed. |
