Obs Core Nodes In The Control System Embedded Subsystems

With the development of the technology in optical swithing field, OCS (Optical Circuit Switching), OPS (Optical Packet Switching) and OBS (Optical Burst Switching) have come to the stage. Either OCS or OPS has its advantages and disadvantages, while OBS has combined their advantages and avoided their disadvantages. And it can meet the needs of explosive growth and diversity of traffic in Internet nowadays and in future, which makes the technology of OBS to become one of the most prominent technologies in the future. The node devices of OBS system can be divided into two parts according to the location and function of the network: the OBS edge nodes and the OBS core nodes. This paper mainly focuses on the OBS core nodes. And according to the system structure of OBS core node we proposed, we have to adopt powerful network manage module to achieve the following goals: to manage the optical high-speed interafce module of core node and get statistics of the BHP data, to initialize the module of primary controller of the OBS core node-the FPGA, to dynamic upload the resource table and route table that is necessary to schedule the core node control module in long distance, to statistic supervise the switching performance of the core node, to dynamic upload the resource table and route table for the secondary controller-the DSP in romote distance. At the same time, we choose the technologies base on Web to achieve the functions mentioned above to make the complicated operation intuitionistic. After Considering all the related factors, we choose MCF5272 target board as the hardware platform of network sub-system and the OS uClinux as the software platform to build up our development enviorment of implementations mentioned above.
