An Embedded Serial Server

With the widely used of TCP/IP and Internet technology, plenty of equipments have the need to accesss network, but most of them do not have network interface and can not be connected to the network directly. The development of embedded serial server is just to solve this problem. The device designed in this paper is based on STM32with LwIP TCP/IP stack, which aims to simplify the system structure and reduce the system costs by hardware-software co-design.In this paper, an overall design is put forword based on the need for this system first. Then the hardware of entire system is build up and the drivers are programmed. After that, LwIP TCP/IP stack which provides the basic platform for application development is ported to the system and the data covertion between the serial port and the TCP/IP network is implemented.Furthermore, a web server and a telent server are established in the systerm that makes the manangement of this device more convinient and easy. At last, an application thar proves the availability of this equipment is given.
