Based On Fingerprint Capture Card In The Pci Bus Design

With the advent of Information society, the demand on the security of Information is increasing in the civilian fields such as web-acces, finance, safeguard and electronic business. Among all biometrics, fingerprint-based identification is adopted widely in identification system for its unique surperiority. Fingerprint acquisition as an important process of fingerprint identification system has been focused more and more. This paper begins with a profound analysis of the PCI bus specification, and discusses an implementation scheme of fingerprint acquisition card based on 32-bit PCI bus architecture that takes PCI9054 as the PCI bus interface chip. This paper comprises three main parts: 1. In the part of hardware design, the dissertation presented the system design scheme firstly, and repectively discussed the modules, including the EEPROM Configuration,PCI Interface,Logical Control,I~2C Simulation. For every module, the dissertation discussed the reason for selecting the chips,the ways and the problems for using the chips. A detailed introduction of the control logic of local bus and I2C bus realization is put forward. At last, an acquisition card is manufactured to get through debug. 2. In the part of device driver development, various kinds driver development tools have been compared at first and then the paper gives a brief introduction of the principle of DriverStudio. The structure of IRP queue, Interrupt, Event, communication of device driver and application program is analysed. After researching the princle of I/O, memory and DMA transfer, we use the tools of DriverWorks and Visual C++ to design the driver and application program at last. 3.In Win2000 system, the acquisition card is debugged by SignalnapII, logic analyzer and application program. At last, the computer achieves to acquire the fingerprints.
