In the 21st century, globalization, which has become an explicit characteristic of the age, is developing rapidly. It not only covers the exchange and cooperation in the fields of politics and economics, but also involves the influence from the cultures, news and populations. The development of the transport technology and the emergence of the modern electronic mass-media are urging this procession. It abridges the gap among the peoples from different countries both in the space and spirit, no matter what culture background they have, or how different their ethnic groups are. The concept of the 'Earth Village' has come into being. However, globalization doesn't mean identification. The superficial similarities cannot converge or invade the virtual differences. On the contrary, the individuals, to a certain extent, have become more distinct and outstanding. The paper will focus on immigrant, culture identity and trans-communication. It will put emphasis on depicting and analyzing the existence of the overseas media in Chinese.Firstly, the history of the Chinese immigrant and the overseas media in Chinese will be reviewed. The conclusion will then be drawn that the decline and prosperity are closely connected with the status of China and the local policies.Secondly, certain important theories concerning culture and communism will be summarized and analyzed. Symbol, langue and culture identity form a source of recognizing the existence of media in Chinese. Furthermore, theories of the communism will be helpful to further discuss how the cultural elements play their roles to construct a space for ethnic media in the trans-communication.Finally, conclusion will be drawn that the existence of overseas media in Chinese are affected by four elements. Among which, phoenix will be chosen as a typical case to help understanding. To sum up, in the era of globalization, media in Chinese as well as other ethnic media have found their own position and expressed their opinion in the foreign countries and English-speaking media world.
