Laser scanning display possesses several high quality aspects due to the fully saturated colors, the high-resolution capability of a focused laser beam, and high luminance and contrast capability of lasers. It has been developed based on the computer, laser techniques and image processing techniques. It has been mostly used in entertainments, advertisements and televisions.At present, the mode of laser scanning display is vector graphics scanning. That's to say, outlines of image must be made firstly by the use of image processing software, then, some key points of the outlines are taken out as scanning signals of the image. The scanning signals are used to drive scanning deflectors, forming scanning images. Till now, this kind of scanning mode is rather mature, and is applied in many places in the world. Generally, it is applied in publics such as parks, squares, exhibitions, information advertisements, festival evenings, etc.In recent years, researchers have being considered how to use the conference of TV scanning system to realize laser scanning imaging, and exploit laser TV. Till now, reports on laser TV finished products. Based on this, we have studied the raster scanning system. Firstly, we discussed the choosing principles of instruments used in the system and how to choose the instruments under the present conditions. Then, the conclusions of raster scanning system have been studied. The conclusions include choices of modulating mode, parameters of scanning raster, analysis and correction of raster distortion, brightness analysis, etc. Finally, under the actual conditions of the laboratory, a suit of raster scanning system is established. Based on the system, we have several experiments, achieved experimental data, and analyzed the data.The conclusions in this paper are achieved from theory analysis and experiments. We hope that these conclusions are useful to the prospective laser TV system.
