The Vehicle Monitoring System

A vehicle monitoring system is a system that can dynamically position, track and monitor the moving target of vehicles. It generally consists of the Global Position System, the equipment of loading vehicles, the network of mobile communication, the network center, the network of transmitting data, the system of coordinating, monitoring and administrating vehicles and the electronic map and so forth. During developing the whole vehicle monitoring system, I have only taken part in the section of developing and designing the system of coordinating, monitoring and administrate vehicles and the electronic map. The development for the system of coordinating, monitoring and administrating vehicles is based on its characteristics and requirements, and the software that is suitable for it is also developed out. First of all, the paper introduces the summary, structure, performance and use of the vehicle monitoring system and the key problems in the designing system. And then the developing processes for the system of coordinating, monitoring and administrating vehicles and the electronic map, especially the designing processes and achieving course, are introduced in detail. The two subsystems are linked into the whole vehicle monitoring system after having been developed and achieved, and then the whole system is debugged, the result of the debugging is successful and shows the system has the advantages such as the easy man-machine conversation, convenient operation, efficient use, wide application and service, the capable information communication among the various systems, rational cost, easy upgrading system.
