Informatization is the important characteristic of contemporary society. Society informatization means the informatization of every industry, including library. On the one hand library informatization is the important part of the society informatization, on the other hand library informatization is the one of the bases of the society informatization, it supplies the information resources for society informatization. So nowadays the library informatization and related problems are important question for discussion for library researchers. The foreword of this article relates to the problem in the course of dealing with the relationship between library and IT industry briefly, inducting the theme about the relationship of them. The first part of the article is a simply introduction of the theory of informatization and library informatization, including the IT industry. The important point is the situation of IT industry for library informatization. It makes us clear that the IT industry for library informatization has formed a relative integrated industry and it play an irreplaceable role in library informatization, either internal or external libraries are that .The second part of this thesis is a brief review of the development of library informatization, and then it points out the several problems on the relationship of library and IT industry in the course of library informatization, making it clear that the necessity of constructing the new industry relationship between library and IT industry . Based this in the third part the author puts forward the meaning of the new industry relationship and its significance. And then it puts forward some principle about the construction of the new industry relationship and the prospective of the relationship. For constructing this new industry relationship the fourth part puts forward several act strategies for library and IT industry so that it can construct the new relationship between library and IT industry and prompt the collective development of them.The subject of this thesis is innovative and corresponds to the development of society .It refers to the experiences of foreign libraries and IT industry and the outcome of related subject. It has both the microscopical ideas and concrete action strategies and these have mush value for the decision--making person in both library and IT industry. The thesis is composed of four parts.
