Ip Multicast Desktop Video Conferencing Systems And Key Technologies

With the development of modern network & communication technology, the intercommunions between enterprises are becoming more frequent. So Network Based Video Conferencing System which provides voice, video and interactive collabration is becoming a hotspot of the research field. This paper introduces the designing and implementation of a many-to-many interaction conferencing system based on the IP network using COM objects. This system has characteristics such as multicasting real-time audio and video and it has such character that it can display multi-video windows and audio streams at the same time and can be applied on PC. And also it provides full functions of T.I20 Data Conference with low cost and easy feasibility. In addition, we have a deep discussion on audio recording, imrovement of video replaying, infomation releasing and multicast testing.This paper has five main sections. Section one introduces the research status in this field,technical line,main work that we had done. Section two introduces the key technologies in implementation of th IP multicast conference system, such as COM technology, IP multicast , video & audio codec. Section three proposes conference system architecture,including architecture design,network design and security design, and the implement of this system. Section four have a deep discussion on audio recording ,improvement of video replaying and infomation releasing, and it introduces the main functions of this system and gives some concrete example of its implementation. Section five proposes some feasible methods for deployment and testing the technology of the conferencing system based on the IP network.
