Dynamic Web Application Performance Testing Technology Research

In recent years, with the software application spreading rapidly, the requirement of software testing becomes very urgent, and many kinds of methods and technologies used in software testing appeared. And there are many particularities and difficulties in the performance testing of web application, such as the difficulty that the load can not foresee, the design of testing scene is difficult, and the difference of testing condition and real condition. In addition it is popular that web designers use the configuration of J2EE to construct web sites. So I think that it will become the issue of the research that how to satisfy the users by using the configuration of J2EE to construct web sites.The paper is based of current research and the writer makes some improvements. The writer adds a testing parameter-percent of failed rounds, and programs a Bean to make the testing environment be close to the real environment. In this paper the writer uses the tool of performance testing that already exists to test and evaluate the performance of web sites. The writer chooses a single PC, which is used not only a client machine but also a server, to simulate users that the number of we can define to need our requirement, and access the Pet Store by any kind of accessing activities, include that choosing products, getting the detail information of the product, putting the product into the shopping cart, settling accounts and leaving away. By these accessing activities, we can get the average response time and percent of failed rounds in the server, and find the bounds of the performance in this condition, then we can improve the performance by these parameters. From the data of the experiment, we can see that the average response time and percent of failed rounds of J2EE application is influenced in different hardware and JVM.
