Research On Performance Testing Technology Based On Web Application System

Web application which achieve information sharing all around the world is one of the most dynamic parts of Internet at present. As an important measure to ensure the system's reliability and stability, Web performance testing is becoming an important section of development process. Compared to traditional software, Web application has many characteristics of its own. These characteristics also make Web application testing different from traditional software testing. The complexity of Web application system and the unpredictability of users'behavior make performance testing of Web application more difficult. Currently, the research on Web performance testing is only focused on the testing of load, strength and durability. There are no analysis on the characters of users'visiting with simulation to optimize Web application performance, and no analysis on how to introduce testing tools and test procedures and so on. This paper researches on the testing models, methods and technology in details.Firstly, this paper introduces the relevance theories of traditional software testing in details, and compares Web application testing with the traditional testing. According to the research on performance testing indicators and the features of user access, this paper points out the shortcomings of the current Web performance testing models, and proposes solutions for each feature. Based on the original Web model, this paper improves the old and proposes a user access performance-based model, which increases an integrated performance index.Secondly, according to the principle of web performance testing, the paper improves Web performance testing procedure, and makes a detailed analysis of performance testing objectives and methods. Finally, a target-based performance testing method is presented, which correctness and validity was verified by a specific example.
