The UEP (Uniform Element Management Platform) of ZTE corporation, based on Jboss (an open code application servers of J2EE), furnish auniform platform for all NMS (network management system) of ZTE. J2EEis advanced on technology, but complex on configuration for adoptingJava. This result in low-level efficiency and performance for NMS based onJ2EE server. So it is insistent to measure and optimize the performance ofJ2EE server accurately, for resolving performance matter of the UEP.On measurement of system performance, there are two normalbenchmark serieses: TPC(Transaction Processing Performance Council)and SPEC(Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation). TPC, littlecoupled with application, can be widely applied. But its testing result can beonly regarded as a reference, not is appropriate for comparing. SPECemphasize developing benchmark for application, to reflect the loadingcorrectly. Ecperf, current benchmark for J2EE servers, is maintened bySPEC. Ecperf designs a benchmark, implements manufacturing, supplychain management, and order/inventory for a large global enterprise.Closely coupled with application, it is not appropriate for T-NMS (telecomnetwork management system). For JBoss, Ecperf result is contented, but theperformance of NMS based on it is not nice. There is no T-NMS adoptsJ2EE, except ZTE. So testing standard and criterion of J2EE servers forT-NMS is vacant.According to SPEC, this paper, simulating Ecperf benchmark andconsulting the typical application of T-NMS, design a benchmark forapplication in telecom vocation to measure J2EE servers. More, optimizeJboss MQ basing on the benchmark: client caching, reducing thread, changing operation system .The testing result represent: This benchmarkreflect accurately the bottle-neck of T-NMS; After optimizing, thebenchmark testing result upgrade largely; The performance of T-NMS based...
